Introduction

Good morning victims - I am embarking on this venture with mixed feelings. Though I am normally reluctant to become enmeshed in electronic media, it's something I think I should get out of my system; that and the fact that I presently have a fair amount of free time. Then there is always the possibility that this will reach a sufficient number of people who find boring stories entertaining so that it will become a "media sensation"; either that or an effective method of curing insomnia. A salutary side effect may be that my readers will gain some enlightenment as to the proper use of the English language, e.g. not starting sentences with a preposition, and eschewing of bandit words like "snuck". In this I would be flattered to be considered a humble intellectual descendant of Dr. Johnson.

My initial efforts will concentrate on observations made during periods of employment beginning in my teenage years which have remained in my memory. I anticipate that many if not most of these vignettes will be considered boring by anyone except myself; hence the title of my blog.
